“Leadership Styles and Models for Generations Y, Z, Alpha, and C”
The 2026 Congress on the Management of Organizations places at its core “Intergenerational Interaction”, one of the most dynamic and transformative elements of contemporary working life, together with “Next-Generation Leadership” approaches suited to this evolving ecosystem.
For the first time in history, the world is witnessing a period in which such a diverse range of generational profiles are working together within the same organizational environments and toward shared objectives. In this new order, where traditional leadership models increasingly fall short, understanding generations whose expectations, sources of motivation, and relationships with technology differ profoundly has become indispensable for sustainable managerial success.
Why Did We Choose This Theme?
Generational Diversity:
While Generations Y and Z have become the main driving forces of the workforce, Generation Alpha—often described as the “screen generation” and characterized by entirely digital modes of learning—is now approaching the threshold of the business world.
The Dynamics of Generation C — Connected Generation:
Independent of age categories, Generation C refers to individuals who are continuously connected, digitally active, and distinguished by their consumption patterns and digital behavioral models. This generation expects transparency, speed, and responsiveness from management.
The Transformation of Leadership:
In today’s context, where the concepts of “manager” and “leader” increasingly overlap, there is a growing need for flexible and inclusive leadership models capable of responding to the distinctive needs of each generation.
Thematic Framework: The 4K Vision of Management
The congress theme addresses leadership and generational studies not merely from a theoretical perspective, but through an interdisciplinary lens within the framework of the “4K Vision of Management.”
K1: Management from a Conceptual and Theoretical Perspective:
An academic examination of generational theories, shifts in leadership paradigms, and the evolution of management science.
K2: Management from a Topical Perspective:
Generation-specific leadership practices in areas such as human resources, organizational behavior, and technology management.
K3: Management from an Institutional Perspective:
Managing intergenerational conflicts within organizational hierarchies and preparing corporate culture for Generation Alpha.
K4: Management from the Perspective of Inter-Institutional Transition:
Leadership continuity and ecosystem-oriented management models in transitions across different institutional structures.
Congress Outcomes and Objectives
Through the sessions, panels, and presentations to be held within the scope of this theme, the congress aims to:
establish strategic roadmaps for the integration of Generation Alpha into the business world,
analyze the effects of digital leadership and agile management models on different generations,
and institutionalize processes of intergenerational knowledge transfer, including practices such as reverse mentoring.
We invite you to become part of this academic discussion on November 12–14, 2026, as we collectively seek to decode the leadership patterns of the future.
